COMMUNITY RETREATS
We know that social isolation and loneliness when recovering from brain injury can create long-term psychosocial challenges. Given the complexity of symptom presentation and duration, access to community-based rehabilitation is essential for improving the quality of life for TBI survivors. Survivors often need to find a “restoration of self,” which is most effective when surrounded by others doing the same.

Retreat Goals
(1) Build community around shared experiences with brain injury and persistent concussion symptoms (PCS)
(2) Share resources aimed to aid in healing physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually
Our retreat curriculum is centered around mindfulness, nature, and writing that will support each participant, no matter what stage they are in the journey. Participants will leave the retreat with a collection of resources, opportunities for further engagement, and most importantly, a support network.
